Dana Lynn Johnson

Dana Lynn Johnson, age 59, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Community Hospice in Vidalia surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on March 18, 1965, in Westminister, Maryland to William Alfred and Elsie Seiler Thomas.  She has been a resident of Tattnall County since 1986.  Dana was the Clerk of Court for Tattnall County Magistrate Court for 24 years retiring in 2023.  Dana loved her family and enjoyed helping anyone she could.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.  She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her father, her brother, Ronnie Thomas; a brother-in-law, Ken Gessinger; and a nephew. Steven Thomas.

She is survived by her mother, Elsie Thomas of Maryland; daughters, Cheryl Johnson of Collins and Brittany Strickland of NC; siblings, Cheri Gessinger of FL, Margaret Zarzecki of Maryland, Bill (Judy) Thomas of Maryland, and Gene (Kelly) Thomas of PA; father of her daughters, Tracy Johnson of Collins; God daughters, Irene Hernandez and Vilma Hernandez.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted 5:00pm on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Reverend Josheph Brock officiating.
