Daniel D. Deloach, "Dirty Dan", 85, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones and under the care of Hospice Savannah on Tuesday August 19, 2014. Dan was born in Savannah on January 8, 1929. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1957 and worked as a public accountant with various institutions and later opened his own accounting businesses. He was a service member with the United States Navy, serving on the USS Coral Sea from 4/7/1952 to 2/6/1954. Dan was full of life and character and was a well known and loved member of the Wilmington Island and Tybee Island communities for many years. The City of Tybee Island honored Dan on his 80th birthday with the key to the city. The Mayor of Tybee declared January 8th as, Dirty Dan day, showing he was loved by many. His greatest joys were the waterways surrounding Savannah and most especially the marshes surrounding his home. He enjoyed boating, fishing, dancing, flying and entertaining others. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Dukes Deloach and his parents, Arrie B. and Daniel D. Deloach, Sr.
He is survived by his sister, Eunice Banis, of California, 6 nieces and nephews, Joseph Charles Banis Jr., Mary Patricia Guyse, John David Banis, Susan Elizabeth Calabretta, Robert Daniel Banis, James Michael Banis and several grandnieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held in celebration of life for Dan "Dirty Dan" Deloach from 6:00pm-9:00pm, September 17, 2014 at Marlin Monroes Surfside Grill on Tybee Island. All who loved him are invited to share their memories.
