Daniel G. Picard

Daniel G. Picard, age 71, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton.  The Massachusetts native had lived in Georgia for the past fourteen years.  He retired as a manager from AETNA insurance after thirty plus years of service.  Mr. Picard was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Hinesville and was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Picard.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (Michael) Gallagher of Maryland, Kristen (Harry) Wambolt of Connecticut,  and Melanie (Joe) Higley of Ludowici; grandchildren, Joseph Wambolt, Kevin Gallagher, Deanna Wambolt, John Gallagher, Breanne Higley, Nathan Gallagher, Joshua Higley, and Ryan Higley

Memorial services will be conducted in Ellington, Conn. at a later date.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Picard family.
