Collins,
Mr. Billy Alexander, age 76, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. He was born in Collins on May 1, 1942 to Don and Eloise Sapp Alexander and lived in Collins all of his life. He was the owner of Mar-Ann Industry for many years. He was on the Board of Directors of the Tattnall Bank and was a member of the Tattnall County School Board. Mr. Billy loved sports especially golf and was a member of the Collins Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marsha Humphrey.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane Alexander of Collins; daughters, Angie (Junior) Brown of Virginia, Geneva (Sam) Stover of Newnan, son-in-law, Johnny Humphrey of Collins; grandchildren, Michael Gay, Joshua Davis, Lacey Harrelson, Haley Humphrey, Samuel Stover, Jr., Brandi Wingo and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 starting at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm with Reverends Alan McCoy and David Lamm officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
