David Lee Carter, Jr.

David Lee Carter, Jr., age 51 of Midway passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at his residence. Born on February 29, 1972, in Savannah, Georgia, His faith was strong and he was a member of Midway First Baptist Church. David possessed a deep passion for working on old vehicles and small engines. Whether it was restoring a classic car or fixing a lawnmower, he found solace in tinkering with machinery. With a heart full of compassion and a willingness to lend a helping hand, David could always be counted on to assist friends and neighbors. His expertise and generosity knew no bounds as he was well liked throughout the Savannah, Richmond Hill and Midway areas. This spirit of helpfulness endeared him to all who crossed his path. Beyond his mechanical skills, David had an affinity for animals. One of David's favorite pastimes was crabbing. Spending countless hours along the coastal waters surrounding Savannah brought him immense joy.

He is survived by his loving father David (Karen) Lee Carter Sr., residing in Midway, GA, and his mother, Edith Carter Jones, also of Midway, GA; wife, Tina Myers Carter of Midway; his children, Sidney Charlene Carter of TX and Rachael (Roger) Carter of Midway.

In remembrance of David's life, a memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at his residence followed by a graveside service at 1:00pm at Brickyard Cemetery, 1056 Highway 204 in Savannah. Friends and loved ones are invited to join together to celebrate his remarkable journey and honor his memory. David's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
