David Jeffries Harris

David J. Harris , age 52, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at his residence.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Collins most of his life.  David graduated from Reidsville High School in 1982 and had received his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern University.  He was an avid Juke Box collector and had a special love for animals.  He is preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Harris; grandparents, Cooper and Lucille Boyette and Roy and Bernice Harris, Sr.

David is survived by his mother, Patricia “Pat” Harris of Collins; sister, Sonia (Jeff) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, SC; uncle, Gene S. Boyette of Warner Robins; niece, Tara Roberts of Cary, NC; numerous cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory with the Reverend David Lamm officiating.  Interment will follow in the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the charity of donor’s choice.
