David J. Thomas, age 74, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville after a sudden illness.  The Daisy native had lived in Glennville most of his life.  He was a US Army Veteran and a retired painter.  David loved working on his cars, playing his guitar and going fishing. He was of the Pentecostal faith and is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Diane Thomas, and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stella S. Thomas of Glennville; children, Dana Edwards of Clyo, Debbie Colmer of Ellabell, Angela Thomas of Blackshear, and DJ Thomas of Butler, AL; sisters, Leola Cason of Reidsville, Ruby McRae of Ellabell, Hazel Thomas of CA, and Mildred Thomas of FL; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Sunday, April 19, 2015 with the Memorial Funeral Services to follow at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation Services and Burial with the Reverend James M. Holland officiating.  Interment will be private.
