Mrs. Dawn B. Ammons, age 60, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Middleburg, FL.  She was born November 22, 1960 in Statesboro to G.W. and Dot Purvis Brown and was reared in Glennville.  She had lived in Tennessee for 15 years before moving back to Glennville 17 years ago.  Dawn was a homemaker that loved to bake.  Her specialty was pound cakes and chewy bread.  She was a member of Southside Christian Church of Savannah and is preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dot Brown of Glennville; children, Thomas J. (Amber) Ammons of Glennville and Jonathan Ammons of TN;  siblings, Wayne (Hazel) Brown of TN, Jean Binion of TN and David Brown of Reidsville; grandchildren, Thomas M. Ammons and John Ammons; one niece and one nephew.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted 3:00pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Martin Bender officiating.

Glennville Funeral Home is serving the Ammons family.
