Dequana Nicole (Fillmore) Darden

Mrs. Dequana Nicole Darden, age 40, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at UAB Hospital in

Birmingham, Alabama. She was born January 24, 1981 in Tattnall County to Cathalene Fate and

Maurice Fillmore and had lived in Glennville most of her life. She was a 1999 graduate of

Tattnall County High School and had attended Cosmetology School. Dequana enjoyed cooking

and hairdressing. She was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by her siblings, Raven

Fillmore and Dora Marie Bacon.

She is survived by her children, Trinidy Darden, Serenity Darden, Cornelius Darden all of

Glennville and Miracle Darden of Dothan, AL; parents, Cathalene (Hilton) Grant and Maurice

Fillmore all of Glennville; fiancé, Forster Thompson of Dothan, AL; brothers, Johnathan Bacon

and Travis (Leawanna) Bacon both of Atlanta; father of her children, James Darden of New York; special

cousin, Tammy Wood; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2021 from the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm at

the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from the Chapel of

Glenville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Roberts Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Farrells Tiny Bacon, Otis Bacon, Kevin Fate, Shontavius Mainer,

James Rucker, Scotty Fate and Quinton Fate.
