Diane (Dubberly) Oliver

Lyons GA,

Diane Dubberly Oliver, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital after an extended battle with COVID-19.  The Tattnall County native went into the medical field at an early age, first working for Tattnall Memorial Hospital.  The final 20 years of her career would lead her to the home health field.  Perhaps it was her love for helping people that made her enjoy her chosen career so much.  Diane was always known to be “doing for others”.  No matter if it was baking birthday cakes for one of the many birthdays in the family or decorating the church; she would be working to spread the joy in her heart to everyone around her.  In her free time, Diane loved going fishing.  When the weather kept her indoors though, she would be crafting up everything from baby dolls to pillows!  Diane was an active member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness Church in Collins.  A giving and gentle spirit taken home too soon; Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is preceded in death by her father, Dan Dubberly; her mother, Shirley Kraft; and a sister, Paula Rogers.

Left to cherish the memories of a lifetime of love is her husband of over 35 years, Marty Oliver; two sons, Lane (Jackie) Oliver of Lyons and Dane (Tabetha) Oliver of Cobbtown; two daughters, Jamie (Randall Foskey) Oliver of Lyons and Ashley (Steven) Highsmith of Guyton; father, Monty Kraft; a brother, Little Monte (Angie Stanfield) Kraft of Lyons; four sisters, Betty Sue (Ned) Sanderson of FL, Rosie (Joe Durate) Dubberly of Glennville, Sandy Ray of Daisy, and Bobbie (Ricky) Williams of Glennville; fourteen grandchildren;  a number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 24, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Glennville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Smith officiating.

Services will conclude at the chapel.
