Donald Wayne Bullock

Donald Wayne Bullock, age 75 of St. Simons Island, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2017. Mr. Bullock, son of the late Joseph and Verna Bullock, was born July 6, 1941 in Durham, NC. He entered the US Army in 1957 and served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and retired with the rank of Major after 20 years of service. After his retirement from the military, Mr. Bullock worked as a supervisor for Eastern Airlines and later as a Deli Manager for Publix Supermarket. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and four siblings, Aaron Bullock, Joe Bullock, Shirley Smith and Wilma Bozeman.

Surviving relatives include his daughter, Diane Parker (Dennis) of Seale, Alabama; one grandchild, Christine Parker Jones (Mathew) of Seale, Alabama; one great-grandchild, Carter Jones and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00pm at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 615 Mallery St., St. Simons, GA. with Father Gary Jackson and Reverend Tommy Townsend officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN. 38101.
