Donna Rich Evans, age 65, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston. She was born in Savannah on July 7, 1959, to Harry Dean and Mary Maggie Lee Price Rich. Donna was reared in Tattnall County and attended Reidsville High School. She has been a resident of Griffin for the past 40 years.
Donna, alongside her late husband, Jeff, built a successful business specializing in stucco and stonework, dedicating 25 years to their craft. Their partnership extended beyond business; it was a bond that enriched both their personal and professional lives.
Donna was known for her vibrant spirit and her deep appreciation for the simple pleasures, frequently spending her leisure time fishing and enjoying sunny days at the beach.
Family was the bedrock of Donna's life. She took immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren, Trey and Skylar, as well as her great nephew, Case. In addition to her cherished human companions, she found comfort and joy in her fur companion, Gizmo, who brought warmth and companionship into her everyday life.
She was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Tim Rich.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Elisha (Chris) Waldrip; grandchildren, Trey Vaughn and Skylar Waldrip; step grandson, Morgan Waldrip all of Barnesville; her sister, Susan (Ronnie) Thomas of Reidsville; nephews, Wesley Lynn, Colt (Wendy) Fountain, Devan (Britney) Fountain; great nephew, Case Fountain; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at Little Flock Church Cemetery with the Reverend Marc Foster officiating.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Gideon International.
