Doreen (Holland) Register

Mrs. Doreen Holland Register , age 86 passed away Monday January 21, 2013 at home surrounded by her family after an extended illness.  She was born in Stockport, England on July 29, 1926 and was a resident of Reidsville, GA most of her life.  Mrs. Register was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, crocheting blankets and Christmas ornaments for her family.  She enjoyed her animals, her flowers and was an avid collector of teapots.  She was a member of Elza Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Register and her son-in-law, Robert Hughes.

Mrs. Register is survived by her four daughters, Margaret Hughes, Barbara McCall (Ronnie), Faye Whitledge (Eddie) and Donna Williams (Carl); grandchildren, Teri Oglesbee (Chris), Travis McCall, Bryan Hughes (Heidi), Casey Corbett (Craig), Michelle Braddy (Jason), Hunter McCumber, Sean Whitledge and Harley McCumber; five great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Tuesday from the Reidsville Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm Wednesday January 23, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Reverends Greg Smith and David Moxley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie McCall, Sean Whitledge, Jason Braddy, Carl Williams, Chris Oglesbee and Bryan Hughes

Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Whitledge, JJ Braddy, Dylan Oglesbee, Harley McCumber, Amber Oglesbee, Jasley Braddy and Coa Corbett.

Memorials may be given to Community Hospice Foundation or The Parkinson Foundation.
