Obituary

Dorian M. Proctor, 72, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 after a battle with diabetes and kidney disease. She was a native of Glennville, Georgia and the daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie D. Murray. She was preceded in death by her sister Minta Lou Blocker, her late husbands Billy L. Proctor and Norman T. Etheridge.

She loved working in her flower gardens and her church, Northside Baptist Church, but most of all she loved making her house into a home for her family.

She is survived by a daughter; Tyran “Ty” Carter of Ocala, FL, three sons and daughter-in-law Tyrone and Loretta Proctor of Glennville, GA; Bill Proctor, Spokane, WA; Larry Proctor, Deltona, FL; two granddaughters Nicole and Billy Higgs and Madison Proctor all of Glennville, GA, one sister and brother-in-law Vernell Fort and Wendell Todd of Baxley, GA; one sister-in-law Lilla Mobley of Glennville, GA.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm from the Glennville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00am from Northside Baptist Church with Reverend Oscar Rowe Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Higgs, Charles Block, Alan Dasher, Charles Blocker, Gerald Blocker, Charlton Rogers. Interment will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.

Preferred Memorials or Donations

Memorials may be given to Northside Baptist Church.
