Doris J. Carmichael, age 81, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at The Oaks Bethany of Vidalia Nursing Center after a brief illness.  She was well known around the Reidsville area as she was the Manager at Family Dollar for a number of years.  Always with a smile on her face, you could tell that Doris loved being around people.  When she was not working, she enjoyed gardening and watching old western movies.  No matter what though, when the church was open, Doris would be there with her church family at Hope Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Carmichael; two grandsons, Tommy and Steven Griffin.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Joanne (Thomas) Griffin and Linda (Steve) Jamshidi; a son, Joe Wolf; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a large number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Baptist Church in Reidsville with Rev. David Moxley officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville
