Reidsville,
Doug Pfluger, age 50, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Southeast Health Systems in Brunswick. He was born in New York on August 27, 1970 to Thomas and Edwina Pfluger and moved to Tattnall County when he was six years old. After high school, Doug would go on to become a police officer, serving with Reidsville, Glennville, and Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office. His career path would ultimately lead him to Rotary Corporation in Glennville. Working 23 years at Rotary, he would rise to be a Manager of Inventory and Receiving. In his free time, Doug could be found playing a round of golf, hanging out with friends, or riding his bicycle. All these hobbies were dear to him, but nothing held a candle to University of Georgia football. Doug was a season ticket holder for nearly 20 years and never missed an opportunity to tailgate and cheer on his Dawgs at Sanford Stadium. A faithful friend a devoted father, and an overall great man; Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Doug is survived by his son and best friend, Landon Pfluger of Reidsville; siblings, Tommy (Darlene) Pfluger of Kansas and Marie (Mike) Wallace of Florida; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
