Obituary
Douglas Martin Riner,
age 62 of Lyons,
passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and
Louise Riner and a grandson, Jake Kennedy.
Survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane Riner; son
and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Sandy Riner of Lyons;
daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Ann and Michael
Kennedy of Lyons; grandchildren, Kate and Macy
Kennedy; special cousins that were like Sisters,
Barbie Anderson and Scarlett Lane both of Uvalda,
Vickie Stringer and Karen Lewis both of Savannah;
also survived by numerous other relatives.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Saturday, April 21, 2012 from the Reidsville Chapel
of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Mr. Riner will lie in state at 3:00pm Sunday,
April 22, 2012 at Cedar Crossing Primitive Baptist Church with funeral services to
follow at 4:00pm with the Reverends Dan Webber, Reverend Reese Mincey,
Reverend Steve Miller officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah United Methodist
Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Anderson, Jim Jones, Paul Jones,
Bobby Jones, Jrell Craft, Hamp Meadows.
Preferred Memorials and Donations
Memorials may be made to the Jake Kennedy Memorial Fund c/o Heritage Bank or
Cedar Crossing Primitive Baptist Church.
