Doy E. Tootle

Doy E. Tootle, age 74, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Reidsville on July 5, 1950, to Foy and Nettie Wilds Tootle and had lived in Wheeler County most of his life.  He was a logger for many years.  Doy enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR races.  He was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Linda Marie Williams; his siblings, Carolyn Tootle Hatfield, Katherine Tootle Hughes, Vonice Tootle Price, Terry Tootle, Gladys Tootle Collins, Robert Tootle and Earnest Tootle, Sr.

He is survived by his children, Ann (Merrill) Anderson of Reidsville, Andy Tootle of Reidsville, Jamie Tootle of Augusta, and Jody (Stephanie) Tootle of Reidsville; siblings, Melba Tootle Smith of Florida, Foy (Junior) Tootle of Reidsville, and Doyle "Frog" (Ann) Tootle of Reidsville; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am on Saturday, September 21, 2024 with the funeral services to follow at 11:00am from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Curt Tootle officiating.  Interment will be in the Anderson Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Timothy, Derek, Charles, and Landon and nephews, John and Lee
