Dr. Thomas Carl Sandford

Dr. Thomas Carl Sandford , age 66, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his residence.  The Wantaugh, New York native had lived in Georgia since 1975.  He was a graduate of Ohio College of Podiatry where he received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine.  He was the owner of Savannah Foot Clinic, PC where he saw patients in Savannah and Reidsville.  In Dr. Sandford’s free time he loved gardening, boating and playing golf.  He was a member of the Reidsville United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Nathan and Jeanette Kuhne Sandford.

Dr. Sandford is survived by his wife, India Kennedy Sandford of Reidsville; son, Thomas C. Sandford, Jr of Savannah; daughter, Stephanie (Doug) Barr of SC; step children, Heather (Barney) Oliver of Collins, and Shannon Fletcher of Reidsville; sisters, Jennifer Degree and Judy Cliszis both of NY; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Saturday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, March 22, 2015 from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory with the Reverends Steve Miller and Marc Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Oliver, Barney Oliver, Ivy Reid, Hunter McCall, Ches McCall and Wayne Stewart.
