Duncan Padgett, Jr.

Duncan Padgett, Jr. age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville.  He was born December 21, 1941, in Lyons to Duncan and Gladys Padgett, Sr. and had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  He was a retired logger and enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He also enjoyed raising different types of birds.  Mr. Junior is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eddie Jane Padgett, siblings, Robert Padgett, Johnnie Mae Rogers, and Hubert Padgett.

He is survived by his children, Brenda (Rob) Shore, Linda Marshall all of Reidsville, Ann (Jay) Colson of Statesboro and Tammy Rhoden (Mack McLain) of Jesup; siblings, Lizzie Bell Edwards of Reidsville, Roy Padgett of Lyons, and Roger Padgett of Reidsville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00am on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the funeral home.  Graveside funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00am at Hardens Chapel Cemetery in Toombs County.

Pallbearers will be Trinton Rhoden, Toby Rhoden, Talib Rhoden, Nicholas Strickland, Bobby Powell, and Johnny Blanton.
