Eddie Jane (Pye) Padgett

Eddie Jane Padgett , age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2015 surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.  The Bulloch County native had lived in Reidsville most of her life.  She was a homemaker and a member of The Reidsville Church of God.  She had a passion for fishing and camping.  Eddie Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a sister.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Janie Barker Pye; brother, David Hodges; sisters, Mary Baker, and Lola Mae Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 54yrs, JR Padgett of Reidsville; children, Brenda (Rob) Shore, Linda Marshall, Ann Colson, Tammy (Wally) Rhoden and Bud Strickland all of Reidsville; siblings, Harold Pye and Sue Nichols both of Reidsville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00pm on Thursday from the Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday, February 20, 2015 from the Reidsville Church of God with the Reverends William and Linda Prince officiating.  Interment will follow in the Harden’s Chapel Cemetery in Toombs County.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Hodges, Neal Hodges, Bobby Powell, Stevie Drinks, Donnie Bryant, David McMakin, Jay Burnette, and Tommy Bryant.

Flowers will be welcomed or memorials may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, PO Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30458.
