Editha R. Aguinaldo, age 82 passed away Sunday May 11, 2014 at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility in Macon. She was a native of Manila, Philippines, moving to Macon in 1998, after the passing of her late husband, Manuel Aguinaldo in 1997. While in the Philippines, she enjoyed serving the poor and needy. Ms. Editha was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and attended St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon. She was a devoted, loving spouse and mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. In her spare time, she loved to sew and crochet. Her genuine spirit and great personality is what made her loved by everyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandchild, Emannuel DeGuzman.
She is survived by her son, Rolando “Roy” (Alecia) Aguinaldo of Quezon City, Philippines;
daughters, Marilou Greene, Susan (Scott Gardzlewski) Gonzales of Macon, Grace (Dennis)
Gonzales of Ontario, Canada; brother, Luis Rebullida of the Philippines; sisters, Lolita (Stanley)
Sevilla and Teresita Pascual all of the Philippines; grandchildren, Mary
Joyce Stephens, Norman Gonzales, Myredith Gonzales, Jan Gonzales, Denison Gonzales, Abigail Gonzales, Raymund Aguinaldo, Oyie Aguinaldo; great-grandchildren, Mark Gassett and J.J.
Stephens; special niece, Sylvia (Paul) Degraan of Niceville, FL; numerous other relatives also
survive.
Visitation and Funeral Mass will be conducted 6:00pm Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon with Father Dan Melaba officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Gardzelewski, Jan Gonzales, Chris Mamongan, Bonifacio Dy, Tony Samonte, and Tony Atienza.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pine Pointe Hospice 6261 Peake Road Macon GA 31210 or St. Peter Claver Catholic Church 131 Ward Street Macon GA 31204 in memory of Editha Aguinaldo.
Services will conclude at the church.
