Edith "Edie" (Cowart) Jones

Mrs. Edith “Edie” Cowart Jones , age 80, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville.  The Chatham County native had lived in Savannah many years moving to Reidsville in 1989.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.  Mrs. Edie enjoyed sewing, gardening, and singing.  She is preceded in death by her children, Chuck Drawdy and Patty Drawdy.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan (Richard) Featherston of Cobbtown, Cathy (Marion) Dean of Guyton, and Karen “Rae” (Larry) Blackburn of Oliver; sister, Diane Beasley of Fleming; four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30am on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from the funeral home with the funeral services to follow at 10:30am with the Reverend Art Stoddard officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trey Dean, Harold Dean, Sam Featherston, Aiden Dean, Evan Miller and Mason Freeman.
