Edna A Senseman, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Pine Point Hospice in Macon GA. Edna was born in the Congo where her parents served as missionaries with the African Inland Mission. Returning at 18, she earned her RN degree and then met her husband, Neal, at Moody Bible Institute. After graduation, they served as home missionaries in Middle Georgia for over 50 years. Edna worked 19 years in the ICU at Medical Center. During her retirement, she devoted herself to her church, Heritage at Houston, and serving the poor. She was never without her knitting needles and made thousands of items for others. She is preceded in death by her husband Cornelius Senseman and a great grand-daughter, Chloe Lynn.
Edna is survived by her son, Daniel (Debbie) Senseman of Macon; three daughters, Ruth Cotton of Macon, Rachel (Mark) Larson of Cedar Rapids IA, and Rebecca (Kenney) Arnold of North Richland Hills TX; brother Dave (Helen) Kemptner of Austin TX; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Highpoint Church located at 2963 Hollis Rd Macon, GA 31206.
Funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday April 18, 2015 from Highpoint Church. Services will conclude at the church; burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in honor of Edna Senseman to either Source of Light Ministries International, 1011 Mission Road Madison GA 30650 or Heritage at Houston United Methodist Church, 4116 Houston Ave Macon GA 31206.
