Mrs. Effie Mae Williams age 69, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. She was born in Claxton on July 31, 1948 to Joe Henry and Corine Rogers Richardson.
At an early age she joined Beulah Baptist Church in Mendes, Georgia and attended Tattnall County School. She was a homemaker and had lived in Reidsville most of her life.
She leaves to cherish her memories: eight children, Wayne (Denise) Williams, Terry Williams, Karon Williams all of Reidsville, Ga., and Nesa Faye Williams of Hinesville, Ga., Petronya McFadden of Jacksonville, Fla., Richard (April) McFadden of Glennville, Ga., Tracy (Naomi) McFadden of Atlanta, Ga., Daniel McFadden of Reidsville, Ga.; siblings, Rosa Lee of Reidsville, Benjamin Richardson of Waycross, Versia Mae Sharpe of Reidsville, Betty Jean Smith of Ellabell, Sara Ann Pope of Reidsville, Joe Edward Richardson of Glennville, Tony Richardson, Sam Richardson and Virgil Richardson all of Reidsville; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday from the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Satuday, October 14, 2017 from the St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Eureka Cemetery in Evans County.
