Mr. Elvin “Moe” Johnson, age 82, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born in Collins on November 9, 1939 to George and Lessie Lynn Johnson and had lived in Collins all of his life. Mr. Moe had graduated from Collins Highschool in 1958 and had served in the Georgia National Guard. He retired after 32 years of service from Transus as a freight hauler. He enjoyed farming, fishing and was of the Pentecostal Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion Swaney Johnson and 9 siblings.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Vann (Regina) Johnson, Stacey (Ronnie) Oliver, Daniel (Amanda) Johnson and David Johnson all of Collins; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5, 2021, beginning at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am on Monday, December 6, 2021 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Kenny Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Luke Clark, Justin Johnson, Memphis Johnson, Lyle Odom, Samuel Johnson, Anthony Oliver.
Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Johnson family.
