Ernest Venmas Jenkins

Reverend Ernest Venmas Jenkins Sr., age 84, passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia GA.  The Savannah native lived much of his life in Savannah before heeding the Lord’s call to come to Reidsville just over 15 years ago.  A devoted man to God, he served as a Pastor for most of his life; with his last tenure as Pastor at Lakeview Praise and Worship Center.  Preceding Mr. Jenkins in death was his wife of 62 years, Gloria P Jenkins.

He is survived by his children, Debra Lynn Rowan, Ernest V. Jenkins, Jr., Stephen Jeffrey Jenkins, Gloria Michelle Jenkins Aldrich, Tiffany Rene Jenkins, Ray and Andrew Matthew Jenkins; eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; a brother, A.D. Jenkins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 6, 2015 from 6 p.m.-8p.m.  at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Praise and Worship Center with the Rev. Michael Godbee officiating.  Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Cemetery, Glennville with military honors rendered by the U.S. Marines Corps.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. BOX 2277 Vidalia GA 30474.
