Etta Jane (Sapp) Alexander

August 6, 1943 — February 28, 2021

Collins

Collins,

Ms. Jane Alexander passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Community Hospice inpatient center in Vidalia.  The Evans county native was born on August 6, 1943 to Dean and Armeda Sapp.  For many years, Jane worked alongside her husband at their business, Mar-Ann Industries.  In addition to always contributing to the family’s business, Jane was dedicated to her family.  Throughout her life she would sacrifice of herself to ensure the kids, and later grandkids and great grandkids were attended to.  Everyone that knew Jane, knew her to like the simple things in life, and to never take them for granted.  One of her most favored ways to unwind was to simply sit on her back porch and listen to the rustling leaves as the sun faded to evening.  After a lifetime of giving to her family, Jane has received her Heavenly reward.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Alexander, and a daughter, Marsha Humphrey.

Left to cherish memories of a life well lived are her daughters, Angie (Junior) Brown of Collins and Geneva (Sam) Stover of Newnan; a son-in-law, Johnny Humphrey of Collins; six grandchildren, Michael Gay, Joshua Davis, Lacey Harrelson, Haley Humphrey, Samuel Stover, Jr.,  and Brandi Wingo; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Marie (Clyde) Barrow of Claxton; one nephew, other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 4, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery with Rev. Alan McCoy officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be forwarded to Community Hospice Foundation, PO BOX 2277 Vidalia GA 30475.
