Collins,
Mrs. Eula Mae Scott, age 91, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Bryan County Health and Rehab. She was born January 6, 1927 in Bulloch County to Leon and Eula Perkins. She graduated from Georgia Teachers College High School (now GSU) in Statesboro and Draughn Business College in Savannah. She moved to Tattnall County in 1946. Early on, she immersed herself in the community. She joined Reidsville Baptist Church and for over 25 years served as the Sunday School Secretary. Additionally, she was a member of the Faith Sunday School class at Reidsville Baptist Church for over 25 years. In the community, she served as a member of the Tattnall Pink Ladies at the hospital. One of her greatest joys was comforting others, to that end, she served as a volunteer to Vista Hospice and American Hospice. Later in her life, she also assisted families in need at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home in Reidsville. Her loving disposition and willingness to help everyone was as evident as her ruby red lipstick, which was a trademark of her always fashionable wardrobe. The void that she leaves in the hearts and minds of so many will never be replaced. Mrs. Eula Mae is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas K. Scott; brothers, Lynward Perkins, Laurace Perkins, J.W., Harold, and Jesse Jones; sister, Virginia Quattlebaum; and a great grandson, Jonathan Hawkins.
