Frances Rose Levow, age 74 passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Hospice Savannah. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, growing up on Long Island and moved to Savannah in 1995. She was a member and attended Mickve Israel Temple in Savannah. Mrs. Frances was a multi talented individual that included being an educator with physically challenged students, teaching grades 3-5 and was one of 40 teachers selected in the state of New York to become a science and math mentor. She also created and operated a cooking school in New York, later becoming a partner in a real estate company in Boston, Massachusetts and moving to Savannah, she started a personal chef catering business.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Lawrence Levow; daughters, Judith Dellert of Savannah; Melissa (Alvin) Jones of Manhattan, NY; step-daughter, Wendy Levow of Blairstown, NJ; sister, Suzanne (James) O'Grady of Hewlett, Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ethan, Hannah.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Mickve Israel Temple, 20 E. Gordon St., Savannah.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Savannah or to a charity of choice.
Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Levow family.
