Frank D. Attaway, Sr. age 81 passed away
Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his residence
surrounded by his family and under the
care of Hospice Advantage. The Newnan
native had lived in Newnan for 41 years,
before moving to Clayton County where he
owned and operated Pat’s Cleaners in
Jonesboro. In 1994, he and his wife retired
to the coast at Shellman Bluff. He was of the
Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Attaway of Shellman Bluff;
son, Frank Daniel “Dan” (Leslie) Attaway, Jr. of Columbus, GA; step-daughters,
Vicki (Billy) Durden of Shellman Bluff, Cathy (Paul) Gibson of Portsmouth, OH; sisters, Betty Davis of Newnan, GA., Sue (Jimmy) Hammond of Lafayette, GA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Memorial services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Crestwood
Baptist Church,Tyrone, GA. with Pastor Paul Gibson officiating.
