Mr. Fred “Buddy” Wren Jr., age 78, passed away Friday September 17, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 17, 1943 in Soperton to Fred L. and Vilice Edge Wren and had lived in Glennville most of his life. Buddy was a retired mechanic that loved auto racing and to go fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed piddling around on his tractor, eating oranges, watching westerns on the television and especially spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert “Ray-Ray” Wren; grandson, Mark NoVak, and his siblings, Millie Tucker, Reba Killcrease, Rod Phillips, Donnie Wrenn, and Nita Partridge.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Wren; children, Elaine (George) NoVak, Roger (Sandy) Wren, Bryan Reitnauer, Joshua (Sheila) Wren, Justin Wren, Emily Cope, and Stephan Wren; sister, Sadie Roesler; grandchildren, Matt NoVak, Mike NoVak, Amber (Ryan) Stefanski, Kirsten (Russell Heggan) Wren, Zoe Cope, Aiden Wren, Wren Cope, Andrew Wren, and Lachlan Wren MacSorley; great grandchildren, Kinsleigh Joy and River Heggan; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 25, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm at the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Cason officiating.
