George D. Jarriel, age 72, passed away on Tuesday March 29, 2016 after a short illness. The Tattnall County native lived most of his adult life in the Macon area; returning home to Tattnall County in 2001; a few years after he retired. As a man from the country usually does, he loved to fish and hunt in his free time. When it was not feasible to be outdoors, George spent his idle engrossed in old westerns and everything Nascar. He loved life and loved the life he had with his family. George is proceeded in death by his parents, 3 brother, and 2 sisters.
Left to mourn his memory are his wife, Wanda Jarriel of Collins; daughter, Manda Jarriel of Collins; grandson, Kaiden Boaen of Collins; sister, Sue (Dean) Miller of Reidsville; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends also survive.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Family and friends will be invited to share in their favorite stories about George beginning at 6:30 p.m.
