Grace Leona Vaughn passed away on December 30, 2015 in Statesboro, Georgia. Grace was born in Yukon, (Duval County), Florida, the first of 10 children to Samuel John Giannini and Zita Elizabeth (Kivlen) Giannini. She lived her early life in Palm Beach County, Florida. She loved reading and riding horses. She studied nursing and was engaged in personal home health care for many years. In her later years, she lived in North Carolina where she painted beautiful scenes of the mountains which she loved so much. Grace began reading the Bible in her teen years and continued until her death. She loved attending meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses wherever she lived and was most recently associated with Statesboro Congregation. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ann and stepmother, Jeanne (Wardwell) Giannini.
Surviving are her five beloved children: Joanna Cassidy, Patrick Cassidy, Melissa Vaughn Lillard, Eric Vaughn and Douglas Vaughn; siblings, Nora O'Hara of Lake Worth, FL; Patrick Giannini of Leesburg, FL; Mary Ellen Stokley of Lady Lake, FL; Monica Rogers of Buford, GA; Paula Shaia of Vero Beach, FL; Andrew Giannini of Pt. Orange, FL; Matthew Giannini of West Palm Beach, FL; and Martin Giannini of University Park, WA; grandchildren, Mykl Roberts, John Saul; Jeremiah Cassidy, Joshua Cassidy, Jacob Cassidy, Rebecca Cassidy, Lucas Lillard, Kolana Lillard, Kesiah Lillard, Tynighia Vaughn; 27 nieces and nephews; 27 great- nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15 E. Parrish St. in Statesboro. Following the service, a reception will be held at 7290 Nevils Groveland Road in Pembroke, GA.
