Gregory L. Sharpe, age 52, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Candler Hospital in Savannah surrounded by his family. The Claxton native had lived all of his life in Toombs County. Gregory was a longtime member of Ebenezer Methodist Church and was a loving husband, brother and friend. He obtained a degree in computers from Southeastern Technical College. He enjoyed WWE wrestling and he loved sitting on the corner and watching people and the cars go by.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Barnes Sharpe; his brothers, Michael (Carolyn) Sharpe, Ronald (Jan) Sharpe, Sylvester (Jean) Sharpe, Jr., Rudolph Carter, RC (Cook) Sharpe; sister, Barbara Ann (Jeffery) Johnson; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Friday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 12:00pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
