Hazel Frances (Reilly) Mancil

Hazel Mancil passed peacefully at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Ga on November 26, 2021.

Born November 1, 1941 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Dolores and Phillip Maurice Reilly. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents.

Hazel leaves behind three children, son, Derek Mancil, daughter,  Angela and husband Morris Norton and daughter,  Rory Chaney and husband Joel, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two brothers and their families, Phillip and Iris Reilly and John and Mari Reilly, two nieces and three nephews residing in Puerto Rico.

Hazel dedicated her life to her children and to her patients at Coffee Regional Hospital where she was a loving nurse and caregiver to her patients as an RN for 40 years. She was very active in the church she loved and served at for over 40 years, St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Douglas Ga. where she helped implement many programs for the Hispanic community.

Hazel will be celebrated at her memorial service on Wednesday December 15th at 6:00 pm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Douglas Ga, as she chose to have no traditional funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, we wish for donations in her name to be presented to her beloved church.
