Helen (Futch) Whalley

Helen Whalley, age 86 passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her residence after a long illness. She was a native of Daisy, Georgia, living in Florida for many years before moving to Hilton Head in 2013. Mrs. Helen was a wonderful Christian woman who attended and was a member of North Island Baptist Church on Hilton Head Island. She was a loving mother who enjoyed embroidering, growing flowers, reading and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Donald E. Whalley; children, Kenneth Whalley, Patricia L. Hartman and Gary Lee Whalley.
She is survived by her sons, Donald William (Tammy) Whalley of Bloomingdale, Georgia, James Edward Whalley of Beaufort; daughters, Gloria Jean (Alan) Warney of Hilton Head Island, Sharon V. Jett of Brooklet, Georgia; sister, Gail Haylow of Savannah; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive.
Memorial Services will be Monday, July 14, 2014 at North Island Baptist Church on Hilton Head Island.
Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Whalley family.
