Herbert "Pete" T. Brown

Mr. Herbert T. “Pete” Brown , age 79, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the North Springs Assisted Living in Claxton surrounded by his family and under the care of Serenity Hospice.  The Tattnall County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  He had served 32 years with Canoochee Electric Membership Corp retiring as a Special Equipment Supervisor.  Mr. Pete had served as the Reidsville Fire Chief for many years.   He loved to go hunting, fishing, cooking fish, and drinking coffee.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Grace T. Brown and his brothers, Billy Brown and Wendell Brown.

He is survived by his children, Herb (Gina) Brown and Bridget(Johnny) Welch all of Reidsville; sister, Reba Nell Brindley of Pooler; grandchildren, John (Lori) Welch, Julia Welch (Sam Police) all of Statesboro and Erin Brown (Patrick Merrill) of Reidsville.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm Friday from the funeral home.  Funeral services will private.

Memorials may be given to Serenity Hospice or charity of donor’s choice.
