Hermie Frances Bishop, age 82 passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family and under the care of Heartland Hospice. The Alabama native had lived in McIntosh County for the past 30 years. She was employed with Merita Bakery for many years and was also a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Crescent Baptist Church and McIntosh County Senior Citizens. In her spare time, she loved to cut grass, crochet and doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bishop; two sisters, Jean Lovin, Betty Fischer; son -in-law, Harley E. Chapman; great-grandson, Blake Heaton.
Survived by her two daughters, Pat (Wes) Turner of Darien and Lynda Chapman of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren, Kim Miller, John Gardner, Dena Padgett, Harley Chapman, Jr., Richard Perry; great-grandchildren, Dane Gardner, Eli Gardner, Emily Padgett, Corey Carver, Stephanie Carver; great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Freeman and Caleb Carver; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Blount Crossing Road in Darien with Mr. Kenny Palmer officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M., at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers will be John Gardner, Harley Chapman, Jr., Richard Perry and the staff of Heartland Hospice.

Low Country Cremation Services and Burial is serving the Bishop family.
