Jake Augustus Kennedy , age 2 passed away peacefully on Thursday October 20, 2011 at the Children’s Medical Center in Augusta after a long illness.

Jake had a wonderful personality and was a special blessing from God. He loved to smile and give high fives. He shared God’s love with everyone he met. He was blessed to have wonderful doctors and nurses who took excellent care of him throughout his life. He was loved by his family and many special friends.

He is survived by his parents, Rev. Michael and Carrie Anne Riner Kennedy of Lyons

Two sisters, Kate and Macy Kennedy of Lyons

Maternal grandparents, Douglas and Jane Riner of Lyons

Paternal grandparents, Gary and Janice Kennedy of Collins

Paternal great grandparents, Epsie Lee Barfield of Vidalia

Edris Kennedy of Bellville

Uncles, Cliff and Sandy Riner of Lyons

Daniel and Brandi Kennedy of Collins

Honorary grandparents, Clarence and Bonnie Powell of Lyons

Several great aunts and uncles also survive

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Saturday from the Reidsville Chapel.

Graveside services will be conducted 4:00pm Sunday from the Marvin United Methodist Church on Hwy. 147 in Lyons with the Reverend Thomas Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Roger Nelson, Rev. JD Fowler, Jim Carroll and Ben Newton

Honoarary Pallbearers will be doctors and staff of the Childrens Medical Center

Memorials may be given to the Children’s Medical Center, Jake Kennedy Memorial Fund C/O The Heritage Bank of the South
