Ja'laijah Semaj James

Ja'laijah Semaj Debra James, age 9 entered eternal life on September 11, 2019. She was born on April 21, 2010 to Renese and Jessie James, II. Ja'laijah was loved and affectionately known to her family and friends as Laijah, but to her father, she was known as Semaj. Laijah had attended Glennville Elementary School and was currently a student at Reidsville Elementary. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Tiffany James.

Loving memories will be cherished by her loving family. Parents, Jessie and Renese James, II; sister, Janay James; brother, Princeton James; grandparents, Dexter and Debra Williams and Jessie James, Sr; great-grandparents, Freddie Elison, Lucille Ellison and Brenda McCledon; uncles, Staff Sergeant Dexter (Amanda) Ellison, Arkeen (Alexis) Ellison; aunts, Ebonique Ellison, Yvonne (William) Ellison, Yvette Ellison and Jasmine James; godfather, Travis Jordan; two special aunties, Diane Mobley and Marilyn Grant; also survive by a host of cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Glennville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00pm Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Upper Room Deliverance Center, 728 W. Barnard St. Glennville. Interment will follow at Glennville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Williams, Justin Smith, Dyllon Weathers, William Oglesby, II, Gregory Sanders. Honorary pallbearer will be Staff Sergeant Dexter Ellison.
