Bolingbroke,
James Edward Bloodworth, age 77, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. The Taylor County native was reared in Fort Valley, living many years in Warner Robbins before moving to Bolingbroke 15 years ago. He retired from Bluebird Body Company after 45 years of faithful service. He also retired as a 1st Sergeant with the Georgia Army National Guard after 37 years of service. James was past president of the Fort Valley Lions Club, and was a member of Bolingbroke Community Club. James was known as a workaholic but enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bolingbroke and also a member of the A-3 Sunday School Class. He is preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Virginia Bloodworth and brothers, Ronnie and Wayne Bloodworth.
James is survived by his wife, Marsha Gabriel Bloodworth; stepchildren; Jason (Shannon) Gabriel of Acworth and Laurie Gabriel (John) Bloodworth of Macon, brothers; Larry (Sue) Bloodworth of Waco, Ga, and Gary Bloodworth of Byron, GA.; Mother-in-law, Jimmie Bedgood of Bolingbroke; Five step-grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00pm Tuesday December, 1, 2015 from Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
