James Parks Brazell, Jr , age 80, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his son’s residence in Ellabell under the care of Hospice Savannah. The Evans County native had lived in Savannah most of his life. He was a retired boilermaker and was a member of Boilmaker Local #26. He loved to go fishing and walking around Lake Mayer. James was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his parents, James Parks and Mary Brazell, Sr.; sister, Winifred McDonald; and a son, Jonathan Brazell.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Rowland of Midway, Sherry (Mike) Stallworth of Covington; and Jay (Stephanie) Brazell of Ellabell; siblings, John Brazell of Thunderbolt and Ann Brazell Wilkerson of Savannah; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hodges, Zebulun Hodges, Mathew Rowland, Greg “Bo” Taylor, Jesse Stallworth, Colbie Brazell and Logan Brazell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday from the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, January 13, 2017 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Dr. Rick Cason officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
