James Earl Carter

Mr. James Earl Carter , age 79 went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 0855 at his home in Baxley.  He died from congestive heart failure.  Mr. Carter was a retired electrical worker from the Local IBEW 130 in LA and a Master Mason at the Woodstock Park Lodge 313 in Jacksonville, Fl.  He served in the US Army from 1948-1951.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert N. and Elizabeth H. Carter.

He was the father of Terri Price, James A. Carter, Peggy C. Trigo, Amy C. Edwards, John R. Carter and William F. Carter; brother of Willie and Jody Carter, Grace Peterson, Ouda Coleman, and Janette Thompson.  He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Vistitation will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from the Jacksonville Memory Gardens.

Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm from the Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL.
