James Robert Hickman

Beaufort

James R. Hickman, age 72 passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Bayview Manor Care Center. He was a native of Mercer, Pennsylvania, living most of his life in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania before moving to Beaufort in 2007. James was a US Army veteran serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam from 1964 to 1970. He enjoyed cooking and retired in 2004 as a sous chef from Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn McConaughy; niece, Carol Jane McConaughy; great-nephew, David Charles Zagoda.

Memorial services will be held beginning at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Grace Hill Baptist Church on Route 21 in Beaufort. Everyone is invited to a luncheon following the service.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent.
