James R. McNair

Mr. James R. McNair age 72 passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Center in Statesboro.  The Candler County native had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.  He retired from the FAA as a Radar Specialist.  He enjoyed playing billiards and working on televisions and satellites.  Mr. McNair is preceded in death by his parents, E.J. and Eunice McNair; step children, William Joel Harden and Pamela Harden Burkhalter.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Faye McNair of Collins; daughter, Carla Higgs Hampton of Bellville; step children, Randy Harden of Lyons and Teresa Harden Cribbs of Midway; brothers, Hugh McNair of Midway and Tommy McNair of Alabama; sister, Karen Lynn of Collins; fourteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mr. McNair’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
