Reidsville,
Mr. James “Jim” Harvey Jordan, Jr. age 74, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness. The Bulloch County native had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he obtained a degree in Business. He retired as a Commander from the United States Navy and was a traveling salesman for Sears. Mr. Jim was also a pecan, peach, grape, blueberry and blackberry farmer. He was a member of the Reidsville Rotary Club, and the Liars Club. He was also a member of the Reidsville United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Harvey and Mary Bowen Jordan.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Smith Jordan of Reidsville; daughter, Hope Jordan Oliver of Reidsville, step children, Matt Thomson of Reidsville and Jennifer Burns of Lyons; sister, Becky (Ken) Suggs of Lilburn; grandchildren, Adam Oliver, Mary Grace Oliver, Paul Oliver, Alli Burns, and Abbi Burns; nephews, Kenneth and Robert Suggs of Atlanta; several cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Tuesday from the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory with the Reverend Marc Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Jordan, Matt Beal, Kenneth Suggs, Dr. Allen Bowen, Emory Mixon, Patrick Hinson, Clay Anderson, and Robert Suggs.
