Mr. James Theron “JT” Hallman, age 70 passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. He was born in Glennville on April 12, 1949 to Rufus and Ethel Hallman and had lived in Glennville most of his life. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections and had worked several years for the Tattnall County Sheriff’s office. Mr. JT enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He is a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Tucker Hallman; sisters, Onetha Mingledorff and Wanda Gilmer.

He is survived by his children, Kim Hallman (David Leighton) and Derek (Connie) Hallman all of Glennville; sisters, Joan (Ralph) Stafford of Collins, Maxine Turner of Reidsville, and Dottie (Clay) Brooks of Hoschton, GA; sister in law, Jackie Snellgrove of Claxton; grandsons, Noah Hallman and Joseph Norman; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private.

Memorials may be given to Tattnall CARES.
