Jamond Derrell Calhoun, age 46, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville GA.  The Tattnall native lived in Reidsville all of his life.  He graduated from Tattnall County High School in 1996.  He was last employed by Rotary Inc.  Jamond was a faithful member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Glennville.  He loved his little cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Bobie Bacon; paternal grandmother, Delores Irene Calhoun; maternal grandparents, Rufus and Beatrice Bacon.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his three daughters, Jalissa (Chynna) Washington of Fort Knox KY, Jayonna Calhoun of Statesboro, and Amadi Calhoun of Pembroke; three sons, Ty’Tquail Futch of Valdosta, JaShaad D. Calhoun of Cobbtown, and Jakaiden Calhoun of Reidsville; mother, Lois Calhoun-Bacon and step-father, Herbert Smith of Reidsville; two brothers, Bobie Bacon of Reidsville and Carenzo Byrd of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tylan, Tyson, A’alani, Legend, and Asliyah; grandfather/Papa, Jerry Calhoun; eleven Aunties, Jettie Calhoun, Sonny Calhoun, Lillian (Willie) Walker, Cheryl (Raymond) Manning all of Reidsville, Shirley King, Linda (Dale) Thomas, Julia Mae Bacon, Joan (Mike) Foster, Wilma Jean Bacon of Glennville, Maxine (Willie) Sellers of Atlanta, and Johnnie Kell of Manteca CA; eight uncles, Terry (Cynthia) Calhoun, Larry Calhoun, Aubrey (Tammie) Davis all of Reidsville, Kenneth (Pam) Davis of Sacramento CA, Gregory Davis, Calvin (Asheka) Guest, Bishop Bennie (Martha) Bacon and Lester (Peggy) Bacon all of Glennville; three great Aunties, Etwinda Murphy of Glennville, Shirley Dean Billings of Boston MA, and Evonne Fussell of Brunswick; one great uncle, Billy Joe Coley of New York; two stepsons, Arthaniel Bostick and Malik Bostick of Pembroke; a host of cousins and friends also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Glennville with Rev. Dr. Donnell Benjamin officiating.

Interment will follow services at Robert Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Berry, Jr., Dennis Sharpe, Janet Nunnally, Garland Smith, Lazarus Bacon, Mike Foster, and Neil Bacon.

Following the interment, the family will gather for the repast at the Old Reidsville Elementary School Cafeteria.
