Janet Lashay Ford

Janet Lashay Ford, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2021 at her residence in Greensboro NC. She was born in Montgomery County GA to Gussie Elizabeth Gillis Ford (mother) and Robert Ford (father). She attended Marshall High school as well as Mr. Business College taking up secretarial business classes and graduated in 1 year. In 2007, she was led to the healthcare field. She obtained her CNA license and proceeded in working with the elderly in home health care. Janet is proceeded in death by her mother, Gussie Elizabeth Gillis Ford; grandmother, Ruthie Mae Gillis; aunt, Wilma C Gillis Knight.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four, children Elexseus (Antonio) Jones, Tristan Ford, Pamala (Stephanie) Woodson, and Tatiana Matthews; eleven grandchildren Saree Matrie, Anthony Coley Jr., Micah Hall, Aijah Ford, Aysha Ford, Syh'ir Woodson, Jovan Perez, Kymonie Matthews, Myhanah Matthews, Donell Oliver Jr., and Benjamin Greene Jr.; a great grandchild, Sincere Matrie; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Live Oak Cemetery, 324 North Pine Street Ailey GA 30410 with Elder Alfreda West officiating.
